This week, the NFL is expected to officially expand the season from 16 to 17 games. The league loves the idea. Broadcasters love the idea. Gamblers love the idea. Fans love the idea.

Players? Ehhhh ... maybe don't ask them for their opinion if you don't want to hear it.

Yeah, players aren't big fan of a 17 game schedule, but for me, the more the better.

I don't wan to defend these guys and their astronomical salaries, but it might be the physical aspect as well, another game their bodies have endure.

I agree Tamas. After playing baseball nearly a lifetime my body is breaking down. Football at the pro level is tough. However, I'm sure they would not take a normal job with normal wages over playing in the NFL so 17 it is. All about the fans for once.
