It looks like those rumors of a live-action Ahsoka Tano spinoff series are true! Disney has officially announced that the fan-favorite Star Wars character is getting her own Disney+ series titled Ahsoka. Rosario Dawson will reprise her role in the series.
Another Star Wars series was announced titled Rangers of the New Republic! Both this series and the Ahsoka series will be set within the timeline of The Mandalorian.
Lucasfilm’s Kathleen Kennedy announced the new projects during the recent Disney Investor Conference. So we can add them to the 10 Star Wars shows that will be released over the next few years. There are no official details shared for the shows, but here are some official logos that were shared.
What do hope to see from these two new Star Wars shows? I can see the Ahsoka series focusing on her journey looking for Grand Admiral Thrawn and Ezra. But, I’m not sure what to expect from Rangers of the New Republic.
I'm not a fan of rumors, speculations, by the time these materialize could be many years and until then way too many things could change. Believe it when it's actually here.
I watch "The Mandalorian" but I don't see my Star Wars viewing expanding beyond that, lol - On the other hand, my oldest son will be all over this if it happens.
