Wanting to make the cover look like an old mystery paperback or book, not sure yet how to achieve the spine
or make that page underneath look more realistic. Might have to wait and make sure the front is finished so I can merge the layers on the front to manipulate them a little easier as far as that goes.

Wow! I love this. You are off to a great start. You might need a slight shadow or a little shading underneath the ripped cover - just to give it a little more realistic look.

Can't wait to see what you come up with.

looks really good. only suggestion i have is if you are going for a front book cover look you might want to remove the border as the front cover would surely be the same size as book would it not? anyway enjoying the step by step posts. will definitely be checking back on this one when you update.
