The movie features Kristen Bell as Anna and Jonathan Groff as Kristoff, who join up and set out to find Anna’s sister, Elsa (Idina Menzel), who has completely frozen the kingdom in ice. Other voices include Josh Gad (The Book of Mormom, 1600 Penn) as Olaf (seen above), Alan Tudyk (Firefly, Tucker & Dale vs. Evil) as the Duke of Weselton, and Santino Fonatana as Hans.

You can read a full description of Frozen and check out the first teaser trailer below now.

   DESCRIPTION: :-O

Walt Disney Animation Studios, the studio behind “Tangled” and “Wreck-It Ralph,” presents “Frozen,” a stunning big-screen comedy adventure. Fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) sets off on an epic journey—teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven—to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.

The film is directed by Chris Buck (“Tarzan,” “Surf’s Up”) and Jennifer Lee (screenwriter, “Wreck-It Ralph”), and produced by Peter Del Vecho (“Winnie the Pooh,” “The Princess and the Frog”). Featuring music from Tony® winner Robert Lopez (“The Book of Mormon,” “Avenue Q”) and Kristen Anderson-Lopez (“In Transit”), “Frozen” is in theaters in 3D on November 27, 2013.

It looks funny enough but there does seem to be a glut of these lately. Is it because it must be cheaper to do a film this way?

I remember the drama that Antz and A Bug's Life caused between the studios after the success of Toy Story. There have been some good animations Monsters Inc, Ice Age, Shrek, Brave and so on. But lately while the animations are fantastic I think that the stories are a bit thin on substance.

This one looks like it has enough of the bright, quick frame changes and sound effects to captivate the younglings though.

That is a good point 2G, I would venture to bet it is cheaper, I wonder too if the studios think the target audience will be so wowed by the visuals that they will gloss over the failed writing.
