Custom Blu-ray Cover for the Shout Factory 2-Disc Collectors Edition that was just released Oct 2017.

Some of you old folks may recall my old DVD cover for this title, was one of my very early works (2005) and was not very good at all, I still cringe when I look at it...

I really like the far east poster image I used on the front but was never able to make it work very well with my limited skills back then, hopefully this new version is a step up.

To shake you up...

I also updated the DVD cover with a face lift

I'm a fan of this film lol, so there is also a older kind of middle version done seven years later (2012) that was for the original Blu release, it's still in the gallery as well.

When I did this last one there were already many cool covers done by other artists who were far ahead of my abilities, so my goal on it was to at least be original, you know if you can't compete with them, at least be creative... lol.

I totally understand what you mean. I don't want to get too far off topic, but I thought you might get a kick out of one of my early covers. I am so embarrassed to admit I made it. I cringe every time I see it. We have both improved over time. Thank goodness.

I think it's good from time to time to look back on what you have done.

That said it still does not make me like it any better but I know at the time it was the best I could do, so it is what it is, fact is everyone starts at zero on everything.
