You can now ask me the same question after game 3 :D

BTW, Brazil is gonna win this worlc cup like a piece of cake. It won't even be close. I'd love Messi to win but his team sucks donkey balls. ItS horrible. They have a powerful attack but a horrivle midfield and defense. There would have to be a universal alignment of baloney astrological phenomena for Argentina to win.

It alwats fascintates me fortune tellers and palmreaders. Anyone can do it really. I'll probably try it this summer.

I think he knew it was over even before the series started. No one in their right mind would think the Cavs would have a chance against a team that has 4 all stars in their lineup and is considered one of the greatest teams ever assembled.

They did put up a reasonably good fight yesterday but the Durantula was just enormous.

Golden State will lose game 4 so they can celebrate the title at home in game 5.

That's what I'm betting.

BTW, Curry was appalling yesterday and they still won.

That's how good they the Warriors are.

I think that is a good guess, closing a series on the road is always a bummer, the fans are nasty to visiting teams when they beat the home team anyway, it's worse on a series elimination game.

GS would prefer to win the last game in Oakland I'm sure, where their fans can go nuts, that is more or less what happened last year, in fact the finals this year kind of mirror the finals last year.

Yeah Curry was terrible and Klay was off too, like you say that's where the team thing comes in and the fact the Cavs have one super star is what is always lacking there, no depth.

True that!  :D

They have 4 frikkin all-stars in their starting line-up. I don't know if they can continue with the same team next year or how many years but It's up to the competition to rise up and get better. I think a healthy Boston can clearly go h2h against the Warriors, especially if they retain the key players and add a little more depth to the bench.

I think so too.

Having Iguodala back was a boost too, he made a couple of key defensive plays for them late to kind of take the wind out of the Cavs sails.

Rafael Nadal posted a semi-final straight-sets victory against Juan Martin del Potro, dismissing the Argentine 6-4 6-1 6-2 and advancing to his 11th Roland-Garros final.

He will face the seven seed, Austrian Dominic Thiem on Sunday.

Boy the Cavs got handled at home, was it just me or did they appear to have just resigned themselves to losing the series.

I mean they did not appear to play with much intensity, even at the very start.

Do you think James will wear the big C next year?

Re: The OFFICIAL SPORTS thread

No. I don't think they resigned. They tried to win but the Warriors' 3rd quarters are always killers so down 25 points at the beginning of the 4th against even if it were the Suns or Atlanta they'd lose

So at that point yes. They gave up but they did try. I just think Lebron started strong the series8they could've won game 1..all the JR and revseral calls we know about) but after game 1 he just ran out of gas especially when you have guys that can defend you(Durant, Iguadola, even Shaqtin a fool Javele Mcgee is big)

Next year he'll be in Los Angeles. He's not a one team player. He's not Jordan. Jordan spent I dunno how many years with the Bulls until he finally won a championship and never lost again.

Lebron on the other hand, blew wind to Miami so he can win one and back back when Miami wasn't the same anymore and he had Kyrie. Look at the baloney he pulled with Kyrie that he even left. Now that he has no Kyrie, he has no shot at winning in Cleveland...he's gonna blow wind to another team. turn it up all upside down.

Everyone wanted to play with Jordan, because they knew Jordan was a killer. This guy, as great as he is, isn't a killer. he relies more on his teammates than himself and that's why he'll never be Jordan. That among many other things.

All these new millenials get wet when they talk about how many triple doubles he has and about the tsates he breaks. They forget Jordan lived in an era where 1- Three point attempts were like 1 or 2 a game. A Game!!
2- He was a great passer. He just wasn't a willing passer 3- he couldn't give a damn about who got the defensive rebound because if you look at these new triple double guys all the rebounds the yhave is on defense where there's literally you and other teammates, so to mne those stats are wothless.

Offensive rebounds, yes. But I've seen many Lebron james rebounds and tristan Thompson is much better at it than him and not even he gets double digits on offensive rebounds.

people talk in the moment when speaking about sports. Brady is the best. Lebron is the best. Some basball player might be the best. They're all shouting GOATS now....in every single sport you see this...It's just ridiculous because they don't know the history. They just know the now. Ajhhh

Could not agree more and your correct about why Jordan was great plus he had a ridiculous skill set, I've never seen anyone move with the speed and finesse he had. He never relied on size to bully his way around the court, he would just blow past you while you were froze watching him do it lol.

God I miss watching him play...

You always have youtube! I have a pdf I got from somwhere(duh) that has almost all of his games on youtube via links.

I can get that to you if you want.

Sometimes I tune in a Jordan game. Always amazes me the things he'd do. But the game was totally different.
