I'd take another Star Trek before another Star Wars. I'd really like to see some DS9 films.

Yeah we need another "Beyond", I just love sci-fi space films where the whole thing is set on a backwards stone age era planet with the only space ship being a 100 years old, crashed and used as a house.

I wonder where they got that genius idea from...

I guess it's true that the fans of Star Wars and Star Trek are completely on different camps. They are both sci-fi, but it's obvious that they don't please the same audience. We should have a survey.

I really have a hard time comparing the two. They are so different. It would be like comparing water and dirt. You just can't. I like both for different reasons. I have enjoyed all the Star Trek films so far. The new time line are more a feature film where the TNG films are just glorified episodes. I think many didn't like that but I had no issue with it. I don't really like the new movies so much but would like to see more Star Trek movies. Especially if they followed the DS9 crew. I really liked that cast and there could be some really great stories to tell.

Anyway this is a Star Wars thread and I'm excited to see another one of these movies too.

Me too Vince, I like the previous two Trek movies but Beyond just went completely off the rails IMHO, the same is true of the last Star Wars film I went to the theater for it and was very disappointed.

All that said, when they make more of either I will watch them, even if they suck sewer water lol.

I'll be watching it in the theater no doubt about that, I never miss a SW flick on the big screen, I just hope it's better than Awakens was. Rogue One was great so I have hopes this one will be too.
