I think it's so cool that we are going to see a more of connection with Rogue One this next season as Rebels follows the timeline just before Rogue One is set. We see some Death Troopers in the trailer and Director Orson Krennic, who was played by Ben Mendelsohn, gets a name drop. I doubt we'll see him in the series, though.
According to EW, we will also see the return of Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker) and he will be continuing his investigation of an unknown superweapon being built near Geonosis, which we know is the Death Star. When talking about the character, Dave Filoni says he is pushing the Ghost crew to be more extreme:
"He looks at someone like Ezra and Kanan and thinks, ‘What a wasted resource.’ He fought with the Jedi in the Clone Wars, so he knows what they’re capable of."
The final season will also feature some mysterious new wolve creatures, who have a mystical significance that has yet to be revealed.
It was also announced that Star Wars Rebels returns for its final season on October 16th, 2017. I can't wait!
