Fogdude wrote:Sorry... animation is animation. I don't care if it's Disney or animé. No, CGI isn't animation. CGI tries (though it doesn't always succeed) to emulate reality, at least to copy & try to simulate live action. Animation, especially of this type, is just lazy cartooning to keep production costs down. The old WB cartoons of the '50s were done better, not to mention the Disney classic feature films. I never understood the fascination with this kind of animation. It's like flat, painted claymation. The action isn't smooth, the figures are exaggerated & there's nothing realistic about it. Need I go on?
I'm not trying to bash, but to explain why I don't like this kind of stuff & why there's nothing, including phenomenal content, that could induce me to sit through even this short trailer, which I couldn't make it through.
No offense, but I, for one, simply am not & will never be, interested in the slightest.
You're totally wrong.GGI is animation. CGI=Computer generated imagery. Be it in live action movies like Star Wars and all those creature animation. It is CGI. It is animation.
Be it Pixar. All pixar films are CGI!!!! All of them. Not one of them is not CGI.
You're wrong as well as anime being lazy. Anime is an artform like any other. That's like saying Superhero movies are retarded. Like Superman pull on some glasses and suddenly no one recognizes him? THAT IS STUPID!!!( I love Superman but thatis really stupid)
I'm sorry to expres my opinion but you are completely wrong on this one. Anime is an artform and it's much more evolved than american cartoons. Japan, and i dunno the figures, but both in manga and especially in anime produce like 90% of the world's anime and like 90% of the world's manga(comics in US). That's just you affirming that something is lazy without no reasoning.
Give me a reason why animation is lazy? Do you consider The Simpsons lazy for example? Moana or Zootopia, Toy Story, Finding Nemo? they're all anime(animation)...are they all lazy to you?
