Currently watching the X-Files again, on prime, (after watching Interstellar, (which I thought abysmal) I'm pretty sure it was ripped from an old X-File plot). Anyway Mulder and Scully rock. :-$  :-@

Jem & The Holograms 4/10 doesn't do the cartoon justice, maybe Disney should have taken a crack at it lol

Hitman:Agent 47 4/10 another crappy flop of a reboot.

Daddy's Home 9/10 one of the best comedies of the year

Netflix's Making a Murderer 8/10 i was surprised about how quickly this got me intrigued and left me think the justice system can be corrupt at times

Bridge of Spies (2015)

Tom Hanks stars as the American attorney tasked with negotiating the release of a U-2 spy plane pilot who was shot down over Russia at the height of the Cold War in this historical drama from DreamWorks Studios. Steven Spielberg and Mark E. Platt produce a film written by Matt Charman.

Rating:            PG-13 (for some violence and brief strong language)
Genre:            Mystery & Suspense, Drama
Directed By:    Steven Spielberg
Written By:      Matt Charman, Ethan Coen, Joel Coen
Runtime:         2 hr. 15 min.

Dreamworks Pictures - Official Site

Solid, competent addition to Spielberg's filmography.
Not one of his standout's, but a movie he can be proud of.
What makes me happy is that it is historically accurate on most levels.
Hanks is good, not his best, but I really enjoyed Mark Rylance.
It's not so much a spy movie as a diplomacy movie, a movie that takes you deep into the days East Germany had The Wall. You don't get any high stakes action scenes, and no fast paced violent depictions of the Cold War, this is a very focused story about one man and his mission to organise a trade between two opposing governments.

I give it 7,5/10

The Transporter Refueled (2015)

Frank Martin (played by newcomer Ed Skrein), a former special-ops mercenary, is now living a less perilous life - or so he thinks - transporting classified packages for questionable people.
When Frank's father (Ray Stevenson) pays him a visit in the south of France, their father-son bonding weekend takes a turn for the worse when Frank is engaged by a cunning femme-fatale, Anna
(Loan Chabanol), and her three seductive sidekicks to orchestrate the bank heist of the century.
Frank must use his covert expertise and knowledge of fast cars, fast driving and fast women to outrun a sinister Russian kingpin, and worse than that,
he is thrust into a dangerous game of chess with a team of gorgeous women out for revenge

Rating:            PG-13 (for sequences of violence and action, sexual material, some language, a drug reference and thematic elements)
Genre:            Action & Adventure
Directed By:    Camille Delamarre
Written By:      Adam Cooper, Luc Besson, Adam Cooper, Bill Collage
Runtime:         1 hr. 36 min.

Relativity Europacorp Distribution - Official Site

Except for its decent action pieces, The Transporter Refueled fails in most aspects.
Its narrative is bad, as well as the acting, dialogues and even the costumes.
Its biggest mistake is casting a new lead actor, considering that the last Transporter movie happened less than a decade ago. Frank Martin is Jason Statham. If the production team can't cast Statham on the film, they should have created a new character. This is why people don't go to the movie theaters anymore.

I give it 2,0/10

American Ultra 2/10 what a crappy crappy movie. one of the worst movies ever, the only good thing were the fights which is why it gets a 2.

The Five-heartbeats 5/10 was ok nothing extraordinary

That 70's Show Seasons 1 & 2 10/10 super funny, love this show/

That 80's Show 2/10 what a horrible spin-off and it doesn't even represent the 80's in any way and the stories were lame.

The Witch (2016)

Postby ctaulbee » Feb Sat 20, 2016 9:13 am

Link to Pico's Previews Thread Here

Went and watched this with my sister last night, it's not at all what we expected.

First off it's not really a horror film more of a drama with some tension thrown in, it does have a few thriller moments and maybe one scene that will actually startle you in the whole film, gore wise it has a little graphic blood and some animal dismemberment.

Overall it is not very good, even borderline boring 90% of the time, it's mostly a whole lot of dialog scenes and worse all of that in the tongue of the period which also gets a little stale after a while.

I'm pretty sure it's not billed as a Art House film but it very much is one --so I would warn those who don't like these "artsy" type of films you really won't like it if your not into the whole hidden meaning, nothing explained, figure it out for yourself, feels like middle of the film ending stuff.

I give it 3 of 10 just because it is well made for what it is intended to be.  :-)

life on the line (John Travolta) 7/10 not a bad movie for a direct to dvd film

The Flash Season 2 9/10 loved every episode

Arrow Season 4 8/10 arrow kinda lacked towards the end this season, something was missing

Legends of Tomorrow Season 7/10 too much focus on time travel not enough on the characters and action.

Dirty Grandpa 5/10 just wasn't that funny to me, I didn't overly enjoy this flick

The Boy (2016) 4/10 the movie is kinda misleading and has a few scares but over all wasn't anything special

Krampus 1/10 just horrible and a bad movie, crappy story as well.

The Forest 0/10 another Japanese American horror film that wasn't scary and just plain sucked

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot (2016)

To get away from her job and her depressive boyfriend, Kim Barker (Tina Fey), an American journalist, volunteers to travel to Afghanistan and the Middle East to cover the wartime conflict during "Operation Enduring Freedom."
She immediately encounters discrimination against Americans, a bevy of other crazy foreign journalists, and finds herself in the middle of explosive situations.
Based on the memoir The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan by Kim Barker.

Rating:            R (for pervasive language, some sexual content, drug use and violent war images)
Genre:            Comedy, War, Drama
Directed By:    Glenn Ficarra and John Requa
Written By:      Robert Carlock (screenplay), Kim Barker (based on the book
"The   Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan")

Runtime:         1h 52min.

Paramount Pictures - Official Site

I went into this not really knowing what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised, i really enjoyed this movie.
It wasn't really a comedy- more dark humor and a look at the bizarre culture of war reporting.
Tina Fey does a really good job of balancing reality with humor.
I didn't find it racist or insulting at all. They told it like it is.

I give it 7,5/10

Eye In The Sky (2016)

The moral implications of modern warfare are confronted in Bleecker Street's powerful drama, Eye in the Sky, from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.
Tackling an ethical dilemma in a thought-provoking suspenseful story, the gritty film stars Academy Award (R) Winner, Helen Mirren (Trumbo, The Queen), Aaron Paul ("Breaking Bad," Need for Speed), Academy Award (R) Nominee Barkhad Abdi (Captain Philips),
Iain Glen ("Game of Thrones," Lara Croft: Tomb Raider) and the late Alan Rickman (Die Hard, Harry Potter) in his final on-screen performance.
Eye in the Sky "holds us in a vise and keeps squeezing" according to Peter Travers of Rolling Stone.
Directed by Academy Award (R) Winner Gavin Hood (Tsotsi, Ender's Game) and written by Guy Hibbert ("Complicit," Five Minutes of Heaven), Eye in the Sky follows Colonel Katherine Powell (Helen Mirren),
a UK-based military officer in command of a top secret drone operation to capture terrorists in Kenya.
Using remote surveillance and on-the-ground intelligence, Powell discovers the targets are planning a suicide bombing and the mission escalates from "capture" to "kill."
But as American pilot Steve Watts (Aaron Paul) is about to engage, a nine-year-old girl enters the kill zone triggering an international dispute, reaching the highest levels of American and British government, over the moral, political and personal implications of modern military operations.

Rating:             R (for some violence images and language.)
Genre:             Drama , Mystery & Suspense
Directed By:    Gavin Hood
Written By:      Guy Hibbert
Runtime:         102 minutes.

Universal Pictures - Official Site

Good movie if you're interested in a fantasy view on modern international warfare, a debate over whether or not to bomb a house with 4 of the most horrible terrorists inside.
I have trouble believing this would occur; however, it was very well done.
Good performance by Helen Miren and by Alan Rickman.

I give it 7,0/10
