We’ve got another Star Trek spinoff series coming titled Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. This series will be set on the original U.S.S. Enterprise and follow the adventures of Captain Pike, Spock, and Number One as they explore the galaxy.

The announcement was posted on Twitter with a video featuring actors Anson Mount, Ethan Peck, and Rebecca Romijn sharing the exciting news. These are the actors who brought the characters to life on the second season of Star Trek: Discovery, and they will reprise their roles.

There’s no information on whether Strange New Worlds will be set before on after the Enterprise encountered Discovery. It’s just described as being set “in the decade before Captain Kirk boarded the U.S.S. Enterprise, as they explore new worlds around the galaxy.”

This is pretty exciting! Fans have been asking to see the Enterprise back in action with more stories involving the Captain Pike and his crew, so it’s cool to see that it’s actually happening. I can’t wait to see what adventures they embark on!

The story for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will come from Akiva Goldsman, Alex Kurtzman, and Jenny Lumet, who will also serve as executive producers.
