My wife & I were really eaten up with this one, when it started. Our favorite waitress at one of our more frequently visited restaurants was an addict, so we often discussed it when we were there. We dropped out after season 4, disappointed at the turn the series took, but after a couple of years, I decided to try it again & we resumed with seasons 5 & 6. We were surprised it wasn't as bad as we'd thought it might be. Haven't started season 7 or 8 yet, but we will, since 8 is the last one. I see IMDB is listing a season 9, but the remaining episodes for this year are listed as season 8. I don't believe there really will be a season 9, but it's certainly possible. They have some seriously die hard fans.

I've lost interest in this series, I used to watch it as soon as it was on but now I don't even bother as it's the same thing over and over...

1. Bad guy comes along
2. Rick and the gang get into a dispute with him
3. Loads of pointless stuff happens to prolong the series
4. Getting towards the end of the series they have a big fight
5. Rick and the gang win

Too predicatable.
