Today during the big Marvel panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel President Kevin Feige announced that Michelle Pfeiffer will be playing Janet Van Dyne in Ant-Man and The Wasp! This is absolutely perfect casting!
It was also announced that Laurence Fishburne will be playing Dr. Bill Foster and Randall Park will play Jimmy Woo. Walter Goggins and Hannah John-Karmen were also confirmed.
Janet Van Dyne is the original Wasp and a founding member of the Avengers in the comic books. We knew she existed in the MCU. In the first Ant-Man film, Pym is mourning the loss of his wife, who has been lost in the sub-atomic realm. and it will be interesting to see how they end up Bringing her into the story!
As for Fishburne's character, Bill Foster, he is a scientist who once worked alongside Hank Pym. He also became a size-changing superhero known as Black Goliath.
