On to the bigger question why do we care about Han Solo anyway?

I would not pay to see a origin story film about Han Solo no matter who stars in it and especially not if Harrison Ford is in it, that whole story arc ruined The Force Awakens IMO.

Rogue One was much better without all the baggage of forcing old characters into the storyline and limiting creativity just to have them included is stupid.

Great point! I would prefer to see the story continue. Besides, killing off Han kind of spoils any solo film. I would watch but not pay to see it.
