Last movie I saw in the theaters was The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.  Huge David Fincher fan as well as Trent Reznor/Nine Inch Nails, and also of the book, so naturally I enjoyed the film quite a bit.  Rooney Mara was fantastic as Lisbeth Salander, and I think really has a great future ahead of her.  Five stars!

In keeping with Fincher, I watched Zodiac again for the third or fourth time.  Also a five star film, every time I watch it I gain more appreciation for it, as it really is a fantastically made film in every aspect.  Probably the quickest way to spend 2:40 at the movies.

I recently saw The Darkest Hour. It was a fun movie to watch though a little been there done that story. The aliens themselves were interesting in that they were energy beings so required some different method to defeat.

Recently watched this film from sundance called Bellflower 7/10 - it was pretty interesting, very rough indie style of shooting and acting but it felt very real life. It had some badass cars and some pretty atractive ladies  8)  as well. Definitely a guy movie.

Can't get enough Fincher!  Watched The Social Network again.  Great movie.  I'd probably give it 4 stars.  While it's great, it's no Zodiac.

I've never seen The Game, but was pretty excited to see that it's available on Netflix, and in HD/5.1.  Going to be checking it out tomorrow.

Underworld Awakening 8/10 - a lot of action mostly bloody and graphic

This is the most generic entry of the Underworld series, from a storyline perspective.

The reason this entry into the Underworld series works at all is Kate Beckinsale's portrayal of the baddass Vampire Selene, the all black clad, sexy vampire vixen is well, just subzero cool, oh and she does not sparkle in the sun. She doesn't spend a lot of time talking, whining, or bitching she just kicks ass, along a slick procession of dark, bloody violence...

The carnage occasionally pauses to allow Beckinsale a moment to reminisce over her lost love or seek a fleeting bond with a screen partner, but soon more beasts are on hand, and the soulless slaughter hastily recommences.

The last movie I watched was Insidious and it was the first horror movie I had seen in years that was really scary, for real. I found the part in the movie about astral travel  in dreams interesting and the song tip toe through the tulips by Tiny Tim while the demon was dancing to be eerie and funny at the same time. Worth a look.

Just seen Beetlejuice (1988) for the first time - I know, kinda late for the party. I must say, it was a fun experience, but not one I would care to repeat any time soon - it is a silly film indeed.

The remastered blu-ray looked nice though. :)

Just watched Unforgiven for the first time 6/10. Was a little disappointing considering the praise it had received.

I finally have some time off work and have quite a few on my list to catch up on.

Have you seen the spectacular video online a fan recorded of his own reaction to Clark getting his hands on the suit during the finale?

Hugo: A rare family movie from Martin Scorsese.  Overall I enjoyed the movie, it got off to a great start, but started to lose a little bit of steam about halfway through.  The acting, direction, and cinematography were great, as was the soundtrack.  I would give the movie a 7/10.
