Ducktales (2017) Episode 1 1/10 such a horrible horrible successor to the classic of the 80's this new version just even compare, they stripped down everything that made the original a classic. even scourges accent is ridiculously horrible

Just finished all four seasons of TURN: Washington's Spies (2014-2017). While not likely very historically accurate, it was a reasonably well done dramatization of the American Revolution period. It went off the rails, in minor ways, a couple of times, but overall, it was entertaining & worth watching.

Thanks, Stampe! An interesting read & a nice wrapup of what I suspected was the case. A lot of those folks lived to really ripe old ages! That was the biggest surprise, to me.

Atomic blonde... 7/10. loved the concept. & well Charlize Theron just says it all

Baywatch (2017) 3/10 another great show turned to a dulled slapstick comedy. wasn't impressed thrilled by this movie. too much cheese for me

Batman and Harley Quinn (2017) 6/10 this one was a weird DC animated feature that featured some over the top cheese language and sexual stuff that never appears in these movies. It had some ok moments but wasnt great

Alien Covenant 2/10 the only reason it gets a 2 is for the xenomorph. the rest of the movie was horrible. they just really just stop the first four were fantastic now their crap.

Rough Night (2017) 3/10 a few funny scenes and Scarlett Scarlett Johansson was good but thats it.

I Am Wrath (2016)
A sub-par revenge flick. Not bad, but nothing special. Clearly Travolta was unhappy with the reflection on him as the bad guy in The Punisher (2004) & decided he needed to become the vengeful hero, instead. My wife & I both liked this one.

Wonder Woman (2017)
After watching I Am Wrath (2016), we watched Wonder Woman. I knew I shouldn't have started another feature film that late, but I did & promptly fell asleep. My wife watched it all the way through, though, & she said it was very good. She liked the earlier Travolta film, but liked this one MUCH better.

Saw The Red Turtle and it's easily the best movie os 2017 so far. Amazing movie.

It (TV Mini-Series 1990) 10/10 it still stands the test of time for a tv film that's 27yrs old

It (2017) while the scares were modernized it just wasn't as good as the original for me, the new pennywise wasn't as good as tim currys

A Dogs Purpose (2016) 9/10 fantastic movie loved it, such a great story

I watched this movie also a couple of days ago and would give it the same rating. I expected a 10 out of this one, but it wasn't. Still a good thrill ride as Tamas mentioned.

We also watched A FAMILY MAN with Gerard Butler and liked it. Again, expected more from this movie, but not the worst one I've seen. I would give it the same rating as KIDNAP, not for the action because there is none, but the story is memorable.

Yesterday I rewatched, coz I'm in an action kind of mood;

Mad Max Fury Road and what can I say: It's one of the greatest action movies I've ever seen. And it's amazing how almost none of it is CGI. Non stop action brilliantly choreographed

I agree. I'm also partial to Man of Steel because I love Superman. To me he's the greatest superhero invented.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017)

It was much better than "On Stranger Tides". (That title should have been a clue)

When this last one ended. I just sat there & after a few seconds, my wife just said, "Meh..." I had to agree. It wasn't bad, but there just wasn't anything memorable. The story was weak. They focused on special effects & CGI. It looked like an excuse to give Javier Bardem an opportunity to be in it. At least I didn't fall asleep, though I'd be hard pressed to provide any details about it.
