I just took a look at your Marvel covers and they're far from trash. they're great. Your being too harsh on yourself. Maybe people ask you more for Horror films because marvel and those Hollywood movies are done by the dozens of artists and horror only a small group of people do.
Like you're horror stuff is amazing. I still remember printing your IT FOLLOWS cover and it was a while ago. Maybe a year or more. Absolutely best cover I've seen for that movie.
My limited experience doing covers gives me the opposite action of what you experience. Like research and resources whatever..I spend very little on that. It's whatever i feel is available.
Now doing the cover...That's where the fun begins..but contrariwise to you it takes me a long time to do them because I don't start with a clear vision of what Is gonna be my final destination. I just wing it as I go along.
That being said...I love horror and if you're the one representing it I'm satisfied!!!
