To not quote a long quote C, I agree with your assessment. Would be nice Patriots vs Steelers again in the finals of the Eastern Conference

Barcelona was disallowed a goal in which the ball was in like 6 feet.
Boston was not only snapped of its 16 game streak but lost 2 games(not in a row but nonetheless)
pistons play ball man. First time I've seen them yesterday this season and they're gonna be a difficult team for everybody.

I think everyone in the Stadium say it, even the referee!!! That's the gravity of the situation. They saw it and they didn't allow it. And there's no video challenge. Stupid rules. There's is no review for the coaches or referees to reacess a play.

Something's gotta change in soccer. It's moron referee's with nonsense decisions, it's players faking injuries at the end of the games to waste time. Coaches making substitions at minute 90!!! minute 90!!! to lose time.

It should be like in the NBA. Clockwise precision. Every time the game is interrupted the clock stops. maybe reduce it from 90 minutes to two halfs of 30 minutes. I guarantee you almost no game has pure 60 minutes of uninterrupted soccer.

I mean when a game end in a draw and the ball entered the goal line by like 4 feet, something's seriously wrong.

Go patriots!!!! Go Celtics!! Go Barcelona..baseball i don't really care..hehe

Redskins vs Cowboys Week 13

The Cowboys clobbered them, I guess that is the problem with the Skins (inconsistent as hell) I figured it would be a tough game but not a blow out, C'Mon Man!

Eagles at Seahawks

Postby ctaulbee » Dec Sun 03, 2017 12:10 pm

The game of the week will likely be this one played tonight in Seattle.

The Eagles' secondary has far exceeded expectations this season, as a unit that was once viewed as the weakest link on the team has played at a fairly high level.

One question mark facing this unit, however, is if they can consistently get it done against the top quarterbacks in the NFL -- and they will have a chance to do just that on Sunday night, make no mistake Russell Wilson is a top QB and the Seahawks line backer defense against the run is going to be something the Eagles have not had to deal with this season.

For the Eagles to win in the playoffs, they are going to need to beat elite quarterbacks and tough defenses.

They are honestly untested in these areas this season despite their 10-1 record, which is against mostly horrid teams with terrible losing records, the one team they played early was the Chiefs who started 5-0 and who beat them, that is their one loss, since then they have been playing teams with losing records all season like the 49's at 1-10, so that 10-1 does not impress me.

They much like the near undefeated Cam Newton led Panther squad from a few years back who everyone also thought would dominate the playoffs but when they got to the big boys and the time to shine was on them, well they lost badly in the first round as many overrated teams do.

GO Seahawks!  :-$

That's more or less it, if the Seahawks beat them then they are just what I have thought they were all along, if they win it's still just one win against a good team but I'll be more interested in how they win that if they win, since it is the Sunday Night game, I will be watching it.

I saw the blowout game the other day and they were impressive. i don't follow all games but and I asked you this, what about week 15 when the Steelers host the Patriots in what could decide who has home court advantage in the playoffs. think the Steelers can steal the win over Brady and company?

I don't think we have to "steal" it as you put it, we are a better team than they are this year and we have more weapons to defeat them with, we are playing at home and if anyone is to "steal" a win it will be them.

Pats have lost twice this year and one of those was at home vs Chiefs, who we dominated in KC, so you see the Pats are not unbeatable like everyone thinks and Tom is not a God either.

Oh I said steal only because it's the Steelers!! Get it? lol. Had no second meaning.
I'll be there watching that game. Maybe we can discuss that further on when it comes.

One thing is for sure. The steelers uniform is the prettieste in the NFL. Damn, My brother had a steelers jacket when we were kids. It looked amazing. Black with yellow sleeves.

I still think it will be the game of the season as I told you before, provided everyone is healthy on both sides it should be a fun game.

I of course hope the Steelers win and defend home turf but if they have to lose I'd rather it be to a team like the Pats vs say losing to the Browns or the 49'ers lol, that's the worst, taking a loss from a sub-par team who your second string should be able to dominate with ease.

It has happened too, this is the NFL and any team can have a bang-up day, while the other team is suddenly unable to even get their shoes on the right feet much less run in the right direction... lmao.

Re: The OFFICIAL SPORTS thread

Postby ctaulbee » Dec Sun 03, 2017 6:48 pm

Pats looked bad in the first half today, could not get in the end zone, took 3 field goals to the Bills 1 and the half ended at 9-3.

They came out a different team in the second half and put up two TD's in the 3rd, no score in the 4th and the Bills never scored in the second half at all, so it was a 23-3 win for the Pats.

They did not really play that well overall but they got the win in spite of that little fact, a testament to how hard they are to defeat.

End of the game up 23-3, 3 minutes to go and Brady took the field, any other team would have benched the star QB with the game in the bag like that but not the Pats they never stop coming at you, even if they are winning they charge forward, which is why they won that Super Bowl last year.

Well the Seahawks not only beat the Eagles but handled them with ease, any top ranked team can beat them based on what I saw, that is how it is with these teams who play weak schedules, their numbers look good but they just can't get it done against a team that can take it to them.

Even banged up and missing their big D guys the Seahawks still held them to 3 points until the second half, now this is a team that has been averaging 30 points a game all year, that tells you the kind of teams the Eagles have been playing right there.

They managed to score one TD but it was pure luck resulting from two of the ugliest throws I have ever seen made by a NFL QB, both just fell into the hands of the right guys at the right time, bet he could never do that again if his life depended on it, Wentz is sure no Tom Brady lmao.

It was actually sad to see such charity befall them after the dismal effort they showed the rest of the game and worse it allowed them to end up 24-10 rather than the 24-3 they deserved based on actual effort.

They have to play the Rams next week and IMHO the Rams are playing lights out football they just beat the Saints who are on a rampage right now as well and this week they beat the Cards.

My guess is Rams will add another loss to the Eagles now dented record and send them back to Philly 10-3 lol.

I saw a video on the NFL official site and they were talking that probably the most fearsome team that come out of the contenders for a spot in the playoffs are exactly the Rams. I'm excited for the Pats-Steelers game and for the playoffs. Don't wanna miss a game.
