I don't usually watch classical music performances and don't have much knowledge of conductors, but instantly recognized Valery Gergiev. His expressiveness is very entertaining.

The music is outstanding, too. Have you seen Femme Fatale? The extended opening heist sequence is really well done, set to a variation of Bolero.

Have I seen it? Brian de palma is the man!!! I listen to classic music a lot, especially when I'm doing stuff where I have to think and can't listen do stuff that has lyrics.

Yeah. The conductor looks like a madman. he even uses a toothpick. I was like, wow, this guy just ate a bear and even brought toothpick. very well thought. lol

She has an amazing voice. I actually kind of can guess what she's saying because the song is very familiar to me. Just as a curiosity....Here's the "Then". What you posted was the "Now". Just the difference...what an amazing song.

She really does that 'torch song' style well. When I first heard it, hers was the only version I'd heard. Seeing that it was a Radiohead cover, I looked it up. Just proves good is good. When a song has a good melody, phrasing, pacing & a hook, it's just hard to do it badly. I like both versions, for different reasons, but I like hers best... probably because it was the first version I'd heard.

Here's another of my all time favorites. I had this on a CD for drive time when I was working. It made the commutes bearable. I was devastated when the singer (& bassist), Benjamin Orr, passed away from cancer on October 3, 2000. You may recognize the oh, so hot, Paulina Porizkova, in the video.

I'm going for a cheesy one now...Very very cheesy...That being said I was born in the 80's so this song and the film this song is the music video fo was a huge deal to me....i think it was to every kid in the 80's, but I fdunno.

when I hear it i still sing along..and the gestures the guys makes are so cheessy but awesome.

Haim's new music video from their up and coming album in July.....Awesome song. These chicks are aamzing..i love them. they're the new Fleetwood Mac but better!!! Much better!!
