Ok. You're probably thinking: "Here comes another one of them dumb listing your favorites thread...that exist everywhere.

Well let's make this kind of different and with different rules.

There is absolutely no obligation here to convey the best films. these are YOUR favorite films. they can be considered bad, good in between....they are your films.The films that if all movies were destroyed and you had to pick some you'd choose these.

The rules are there are no rules...kinda like Fight Club. But as in Fight Club there has to be some rules:

Rule #1- Whatever film you like is eligible(short film, experimental, as long as it is in IMDb it's fine)

Rule #2- Let's just out of non-repetition list only 20 movies(if you prefer 30,40 it's OK). I just wanted to limit the official list to 20 and then everyone in the same post can list honorable mentions ad nausuem(you can list a thousand if you want( but don't!! lol).

Rule #3- this is a difficult rule but I think it's necessary. In the official 20 films(or more if you want) only one film per director. Why? Because for instance I'd list every single Tarantino film and what fun is that? I'd put my favorite Tarantino in the official 20 and then all others in the Honorable

Last Rule or comment: REMEMBER. These lists are not definitive. You can come back a weak later ,edit them. You didn't remember what's his name. Doesn't matter. it's just fun!

I don't insist on being the one having the first post of favorites but I'm going through them right now.

I encourage everyone to at least name a few indispensible movies they couldn't live without while you refine your list. Doesn't need to be definitive. I loved heavy metal and now not so much. I hear one song and my head bursts.

Oh my Alien, it's obvious that we DO NOT have the same taste in movies, lol - Most of these I have not even heard of. I will work on my list and post them later. One thing is for sure, my top one will be "The Day After Tomorrow (2004)". To be continued...

Are you serious? I mean, It's totally fine if you are but I din't know if you're joking or if maybe that film has some hidden or particular significance to you.

I loved Turner & Hooch also. I actually love any movies with dogs or horses, no matter how corny they are, lol

My list of movies is not as huge as my list of TV Series, but I will pretty much watch anything that Marvel comes out with, and most definitely anything with Star Trek, anything, without exception!

You can post your favorite tv series Chou. Doesn't really matter.

I see that Bankska is a big fantasy /adventure enthusiast. Good for you. No The Goonies or Neverending Story or films from Terry Gilliam?

@Ctaulbee. Yeah Who doesn't like Finding Nemo right? It's great. I haven't seen Finding Nemo 2 but Finding Nemo, Walle and Up are just the perfect pixar films.
