Generally the backs are different, the slip back is often more "ad" driven and the inside back is usually more "specs" driven but of course there are exceptions.
Ok. the backs may differ slightly as you say.
But the dust thing just doesn't wrap around my brain. Why:
Dvds and Blu rays are usually stored vertically by the customers on their shelves side by side to one another
which makes the dust think obsolete in this case, since slipcases only cover the horizontal areas. This is, The top of the bluray or dvd(and the bottom, but the bottom is irrelevant) will still be affected by the dust.
I still see no point if they are exactly(up to slight alterations) the exact same artwork.
I sincerely just throw them away. I keep some that are cool and replace the inside art.
