Both shows are unique in their own ways. Hard to pick one because each series is different in terms of how they evolved. However, Trek has been around for ages and is still going strong. The same can be said about Star wars but imo, Trek is a classic. Kirk, Spock and one of my fav, Sisko. Enough said.

I would love a live action Star Wars series. That may be asking for too much.

It's Star Trek for me. I can watch that day in and day out without any stopping. I can only watch Star Wars here and there and then it usually gets boring before I even get to the end of one film. The only exception to that is the Clone Wars Series. That I can watch over and over.

I watched Star Trek from its early B&W days of the '60s. Never missed an episode. Loved the series... the movies, not so much. They always put me to sleep shortly after they start. Star Wars has the advantage, I suppose, of not having started out as a TV series. Star Wars has a history, a timeline. Star Trek just dumps us into a future time with aliens of all sorts & little background about the entire thing. Star Wars is just more fleshed out, for me. It reminds me of Asimov's Foundation Trilogy & books based on it, not in the specifics, but in the sweeping vision of a future that evolved from our own times, though so far removed, it's another world.

So, yes, I prefer Star Wars. I seldom fall asleep in their films, except when Ewoks or Jar Jar Banks appear. (No offense, Banks...)

P.S. Yes, yes, yes... I know it's Binks, not Banks. I just couldn't help myself.

Star Wars for me, all though I also like Star Trek, The New Hope made such an impact on me, I can watch Star Wars over and over again non stop, except for The Force Awakens and when Jar Jar appears.

Star Wars all the way baby. I hate Star Trek. Always have. I watched some episodes when I was a kid..but those saying Star trek is still strong and Star Wars not, it's totally the opposite. Star Wars has never been stronger. The Force is strong and recommended baby!!! hahah
