I didn't like the original, with Kevin Bacon, because it got so supernatural/metaphysical. I was interested because there are very real scientific principles involved & I would have preferred they had explored those more. But, that would require real research & hard work. Making up supernatural stuff is just lazy, IMNSHO. For that same reason, even with the tempting Nina Dobrev involved, I'll pass on this one.

I'm a big Nina Dobrev fan but I doubt that will be enough to get me watching this, they sure made her look stupid in the XXX - Return of Xander Cage movie, gave her cheesy lines and dressed her up like a total nerd, was a real let down there...

It says Kiefer Sutherland is part of the cast but I didn't see him in the trailer. Didn't he do something similar with Julia Roberts or something? Anyway, pass on that one for me as well. Once again Vince, you will be watching a movie all by yourself, lol

Yep. I suspect they just got Sutherland to sign on to give this new one a direct link to the first one, from 1990, aside from the obvious title & plot. That one also had Kevin Bacon, as I mentioned earlier, & Julia Roberts, as you recalled.

Hollywood and its useless remakes. Can't they come up with something original?

Just look at the movies coming out. Almost all of them are sequels, reamkes, reboots...it's horrible the way the industry is going.


AT least there are films like Dunkirk, Baby Driver, Valerian. I haven't seen these but I bet they're better than the mjority of those sequels,bequels, mequals
