Storyline

While working in his lab during a storm one night, a bolt of lightning strikes a tray of chemicals soaking police scientist Barry Allen with its contents. Now able to move at super-speed, Barry becomes The Flash protecting Central City from the threats it faces

I'm a little overloaded with superhero stuff these days. It'll take an awfully lot of convincing to get me to watch this.

I haven't watched the TV show, honestly most of this comic stuff interests me very little, I'm kind of with Foggy that they are running it into the ground with continuous releases of superhero films.

The big problem for me it that most of them are not very good, not really, they spend very little time on making them, the writing is horrid, many of the lines in recent offerings from Marvel sound like they came from B-movies, even in the big budget films, like the Avengers, are riddled with pointless, forced in, little quips back and forth between characters it makes my skin crawl and is nothing more than cheap attempts to inject humor where there is none.

The only thing I can see that they do well in them is the visual effects, they spend plenty of money on that but for me you can only use effects up to a point in a film, it can't be the whole thing, as then it becomes repetitive, which is where they are now.

I mean how many fight scenes that break everything in a city, or huge explosions that wipe out square miles and or the unrealistic tossing around of entire buildings does one need or for that matter want to see?

I'd like to see a story that makes sense, with interesting characters that do more than make little jokes back and forth at each other or destroy everything they touch in some fantastic display of special effect technology.

I guess my mind is not so easily entertained as some seem to be with just a little eye candy...

No, Dodgy didn't post a bogus poster for this. I did. I was in a hurry & grabbed the wrong one & didn't even notice the name on it until after you guys mentioned it. My bad. I was in a hurry, but that's no excuse. I don't care for the subject & won't be watching the film, still no excuse.

I haven't checked the logs yet, but someone has already corrected (probably CT).

Apologies for taking this off on an unnecessary tangent. I hope some of you get a good laugh out of it, at my expense.
