Huh, i watched a lot disturbing movies for me, but first that comes on my mind is Funny Games, The Vanishing, Men Behind The Sun, Cannibal Holocaust etc

But most of all it was "Threads (1984)"! It scares me to death every time i watch it!

White Noise. It's not really a disturbing movie but it disturbed me after I saw it because I started watching internet videos of "real life" ghosts and all that crazy stuff.  Freaked me out being a young kid!!!

I have to agree with Mr. Torso, Poltergeist freaked me out the most until adulthood.  Even more so than any of the other horror movies of the 80s/90s.  Now though I get the heeby jeebies from skateboarders/bikers wiping face first.  I've always had bad teeth and my parents spent a lot of $$ to fix them so watching others destroy their grills makes me squimish (escpecially now that I got kids).  *shudders*

By far for me it is Nightmare On Elm Street. I went to watch the movie with a bunch of friends at a theater we had to walk to. After the movie we had to walk home down I kind you not Elm Street. We ran and were scared to death. Number 2 is Marathon Men when a hole is drilled in his front tooth - makes me sick to my stomach to think about it.

I don't know that horror movies really disturb me. Mine would be Irreversible. I had a very hard time even finishing it.

The most disturbing film I have ever seen goes to a little indie Canadian film titled "The Dark Hours" from 2005. There was on scene where, for the first and only time, I felt vulnerable and broken. It was a truly great scene. I guess "Hostel: Part II" had a few moments that got me (scythe scene).

I wasn't disturbed by the story or the graphic violence and nudity. What disturbed me was the style. Those rotating shots are so nauseous.

Saw it last night, and until now it haunts me. Because it's a true story and you just can't believe how people can be soooooooo disturbingly stupid and gullible. Great filmmaking that will render you uncomfortable, disturbed, and totally shocked that this has happened in real life. If it were fiction, I would've stopped watching

The 1992 flick by Peter Jackson Brain dead/ Dead Alive. Saw it when I was just 6 years old, I don't know the title of the film it's just that recently I search for it and came with the title. It's the most disturbing/goriest movie I've ever seen in my life. It has over the top gore fest that you can ever imagine. It's a must see for those zombie/horror/gory/disturbing movie fans.

I avoided Oldboy spoilers, so when I finally saw it I was really bothered by it.  It bothered me on a psychological level.

Hostel and The Human Centipede bothered me on a more physical/nauseating level.

The torture scene in the original "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" screwed me up bad. Technically excellent, but I never want to see it again.

Audition, the Japanese horror thriller by Takashi Miike would be my vote.

Dogtooth is a hilarious film. It's a comedy. Although the actual tooth scenes are a wee disturbing.

I'm not a horror fan...any Chainsaw or Saw" fits my bill as disturbing
