Adding a Link Button to a Gallery Image in a Forum Post

If you want to add a link to download a cover or other gallery image into a post in the forum you can use the new 'gallery bbcode' with just a few steps.

Step #1 - Go to the gallery and get the item pos number found here:

So in this case the number would be 68404 copy that to your clipboard.

Step #2 - Create a new post in this case it will be the showcase forum and upload your preview as an attachment then Click the 'insert inline' button to place the preview in the post:

Step #3 - Will look like this after the button is clicked:

Step #4 - Paste or type your gallery number from step #1 here:

Step #5 - Select the number and then click the 'gallery' button as shown:

Step #6 - This will create this for you:

Step #7 - Enter your Title and then click 'Submit' you are done.

Here's an example of what the download button will look like in the post:

This thread has been updated to reflect the new BBcode for download buttons that link to the gallery, it is a simpler way to add the link over, see first post in this thread.

That's a great instructional tut CT m8 and I fully understand it too....could you also do one for adding images to posts, etc.
