There will be no August Cover Comp due to the Merit Contest.
2017 Sept EFX cover competition.

The Theme is Horror Movies.

We would like to invite ALL MEMBERS to enter if they would like.

Blu-ray and DVD covers are acceptable, Blu-ray preferred.

You May Choose any Horror Movie.

Rules:
1. You may enter up to two(2)Covers if you'd like for the competition.
2. Cover or Covers MUST be in jpg format
3. No using WIP or another site's WIP.
4. You may not use previously uploaded work from any site.
5. If there is only one entry that entry wins by default.
6. Winning cover must be uploaded to EFX when the voting poll ends. Not uploading winning cover you will lose the win and next in line wins. No cover may be uploaded elsewhere before the comp is over.

Upon completion, entries should be uploaded to the site via:

You do not need to include your user name in the file name but you need to include what contest it's intended for in the filename ex: XXXXOOO2017SeptCoverComp.jpg

The winner will receive a 1 month subscription (or extension) in addition to front page placement and a profile award medal.

The Entry Deadline is Sept 15, 2017 9PM Pacific Time (UTC -08:00)

Voting will run until Sept 20th.
Winner will be posted on Sept 20th.

Was looking forward to this comp CT, just Been super swamped with work & the late hours. my only chance is rustling up something today if time permit (which I very seriously doubt) & even if I do, wouldn't know where to start. Fingers crossed !

Guys, horror covers a lot of subgenres. It doesn't need to be all blood and guts. Some examples of classic masterpieces of horror ( they're considered as such):

Rosemary's Baby, Repulsion, Touch of Evil, The Exorcist, The Shining, ...

The list goes on and on.

Doesn't need to be slashers or mashers or brashers.

I dunno. Like someone saying I don't like horror films is a very broad generalization.

Stranger Things for example is horror in a way. But it's so much more than that

btw. @alien.. according to imdb, Touch of Evil isnt horror, but Crime, Drama, Film-Noir and Thriller.

No. I'm saying there are different types of horror films. The horrific aspect of them may change. Psychologial Horror, Physical Horror, etcetera

If doesn't say horror at imdb.com for a comp it's not horror or what ever the comp genre is period!
