Have you tried a Hackintosh?
I had a graphics design guy in a company whose networks I managed. The first day he came on, he unpacked a Mac & I told him we were a Windows shop. He said it was no problem, he could handle his own stuff. In 2 days, it crashed & he had to call an Apple tech to come fix it, which took 2 days & about $600 in repairs & fees. Then, I told him he couldn't connect to the network unless he was running anti-virus software. He insisted Macs are immune to viruses. I told him they can't be directly infected, but any infected files transferred could carry them. Macs are the Typhoid Mary's of networks. Sure enough, within seconds of him connecting his system to my network, my server alarms started going off about him copying infected files to them. I kicked him off & he again had to call Apple to come out, clean his system & install anti-virus software, costing about $400,. this time. After about 6 months, he gave up & we got him a Windows system with his beloved PhotoShop & we never had another problem.
